On or about March 17, 2023, the Department of Commerce, American Samoa Government will submit a request to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the release of Community Development Block Grant funds in the amount of $500,000 Under Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 as amended to undertake a project known as the Lions Park Amphitheater
to build an amphitheater as an added public facility for the Daniel K. Inouye Lions Park. The space will offer a public space for a variety of community events.
