Notice is hereby given that the American Samoa Government solicits citizen input on the Community Development Block Grant Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) initial draft of its Action Plan through the Department of Commerce. The American Samoa Government will receive $1,470,000 due to Disaster Recovery 4357. The main purpose of this public notice is to inform the public that the program funds will go towards Infrastructure Activity, the Fagaima Drainage System Project to address the unmet disaster recovery needs of Tropical Cyclone Gita, and how the funds will be spent to support this. All citizens are welcome to provide comments on the Action Plan.
Public comments on the CDBG-Mitigation Action Plan are welcome within the 45-day comment period as required, beginning on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, and ending on Friday, October 28, 2022. Comments must be received no later than Friday, October 28, 2022, at 4:00 p.m.
